Veterans: An Untapped Resource for the Water Sector

UntitledIf you have a job position currently open or know that you will need to fill one in the future, listen up! The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is hosting a webinar on March 25 at 1 p.m. EDT, entitled Webinar for Utilities on Recruiting and Training Veterans for Careers in the Water Sector that focuses on the benefits of hiring a veteran and the assortment of programs available to assist in that process. This webinar was previously hosted on Nov. 28, but is being shown again.

Hiring a veteran comes with many benefits that most people are not aware of. Aside from the skills and knowledge they may have acquired during their time served, there are also programs that provide the training they may need for the job, plus there are a number of financial incentives that come with hiring a veteran.

This free webinar will cover all aspects of hiring a veteran, plus there will be a presentation by Angela Wilcher, employment coordinator at the Department of Veteran Affairs.
