Mapping and GIS at a Critical Time

I found this article and video and decided it was right in line with what we discuss in class concerning the importance of GIS. It speaks volumes about how crucial and helpful that mapping and GIS really are in critical situations. More people need to learn and set up GIS in their distribution and collection systems. These benefits are immeasurable in emergency situations and can only be provided if the legwork is done, GIS is implemented and the operators are knowledgeable of how it works to their benefit.
