Advances in Pipe Cleaning Technology Put to the Test

Many Kentucky municipalities may face a Untitled
similar problem in the near or maybe the distant future—-aging wastewater pipes and/or force mains that need cleaning. At some point, the routine maintenance, rodding and other solutions will no longer give you the desired results. Over the last couple of years, many of you have heard us talk about ice pigging. Ice pigging is when salt water solution is run through pipes to scour and clean them, removing sediment and other unwanted deposits. It leaves the pipe walls undamaged and only removes waste residue. Ice pigging in manufacturing can reduce effluent costs and provide product recovery benefits.

The link below shows success that can be achieved using ice pigging.
