A Microscope Sounds Like Science

In the link below, the writer explains theUntitled use, advantages and mystery of one of my favorite process control tools to use in the study of wastewater––the microscope. This tool opens up new avenues of information about what is actuality going on in the treatment plant and what the trained operator can do to enhance the process.

The use of the microscope by operators is a needed process control if there are changes to the influent or shock loads or sometimes even a heavy rain. These and other changes have an effect on the microorganisms, and this effect is easily detectable through the use of a microscope. Don’t be afraid of the microscope. It’s just another tool that you should learn to use to optimize your treatment process.
