Governor Steve Beshear recently appointed Ruth Lancaster to the Kentucky Board of Certification of Wastewater System Operators and the Kentucky Board of Certification of Water Treatment and Distribution System Operators.
Lancaster has degrees in both chemistry and English, and currently holds a drinking water IV-A and wastewater treatment IV licenses. Lancaster is a drinking water and wastewater instructor at Western Kentucky University.
She fills the board position designated as a faculty member of a college, university or professional school, whose major field is related to wastewater treatment and water supply. Lancaster will serve for a term expiring Aug. 31, 2017.
“I’m excited to have this opportunity to support the work of our state’s operators and the Division of Compliance Assistance,” Lancaster said.
We look forward to working with Ms. Lancaster and having her serve on both certification boards.
